Aiden Griffith was born on July 30 at 12:52 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz. Proud mother Crystal would like to thank grandparents Tony and Lee Ann Mann for their support. "I don't know what I could have done without them," she said.

Wisener to graduate

Victory Baptist School will hold its high school graduation ceremony on May 14, 2010 in Millbrook, AL. Ethan Stanley Wisener will be graduating with honors. Ethan was a member of the Eagles football team and he was the pitcher and first baseman for the Eagles baseball team. He is currently employed with W & S Farms in Tallassee. Ethan is the son of Stanley and Janice Wisener of Tallassee. He is the grandson of Jesse H. Wisener and the late Gladys Patricia (Pat) Wisener, Annie Ruth Stroud and the late Roy L. Stroud, all of Tallassee.

First time grandparents Jim and Beverly Heartsill of East Tallassee are proud to announce the birth of their twin grandsons Timothy Dale Carroll, III and Alexander James Carroll.

Born April 5, 2010 at 7:37 am, Timmy weighed 7. 0 pounds and Alex, born at 7:38 am weighed 6 lbs, 2 ounces at the Mobile Infirmary Hospital.

The proud parents are Stephanie (Heartsill) and Tim Carroll of Mobile. Stephanie is the granddaughter of the late Tom and Gladys Patterson of Carrville.

Waldo/Binkley Engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Waldo, Jr., of Chesapeake, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Dr. Robert Hendren Waldo, III, to Bonnie Lynn Binkley, daughter of Ms. Jessie Nell Lewis and Mr. Lonnie Joseph Binkley of Memphis, Tennessee.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Margaret Nell and Calvin McGinty, Sr., of Tallassee and the late Margaret and Robert Waldo, Sr., of Chesapeake, Virginia. He is a graduate of Lakeland High School in Suffolk, Virginia, and a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in biology and the University of Georgia with a Ph.D. in microbiology. He is presently employed by the Memphis City Schools.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Edward Elton Binkley and Rose Binkley of Memphis, Tennessee, and James Hamby of Grenada, Mississippi and the late Virginia Phillips of West Point, Mississippi. She is a graduate of Bishop Byrne High School in Memphis, and a graduate of Rhodes College with a BA in Anthropology/Sociology and the University of Memphis with a MA in Sociology.
She is presently employed by the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

The couple will be married on June 12, 2010, at Calvary Episcopal Church, in Memphis, Tennessee.

First Birthday

Daniel Dawson Butler turned one on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Daniel celebrated with a family birthday party at his house in Tallassee on Sunday, Febuary 28th. He enjoyed opening his gifts, eating birthday cake and spending time with his family. Big brother and sister, Jack and Georgia Anne, helped him blow out his candle.
