Police catch robbery suspect

The Tallassee Police Department has captured a suspect believed to be inovolved in the Jan. 2 robbery of the Marathon Gas Station at 511 Jordan Avenue. The crime occured at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon at the Jordanville business.
Zy'Quarius Collins was apprehended on Jan. 5 for robbery in the first degree. According to CrimeStoppers, Collins entered the Marathon, produced handgun and demanded currency leaving the business with cash.
Collins was taken into custody without incident at a location in the Wall Street area of Tallapoosa County. |
