Man arrested, charged with rape

Tallassee police have apprehended a suspect wanted for rape and other charges. Larry Gresham was captured on Thursday, Aug. 24 after attempting to elude law enforcement.
Tallassee Police Department attempted to take Gresham into custody at his place of employment. He fled on foot upon recognizing an officer. He was caught after a short foot pursuit.
Gresham is charged with two counts of rape in the first degree and five counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12. He was transported to the Tallapoosa County jail with additional charges to follow.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
