Football hire coming soon

The naming of the next Tallassee High School head football coach and athletic director is imminent.
THS principal Drew Glass led the committee that reviewed the applications. There were 81 in all.
"The interest was there," said Glass. "We had a quality field."
Glass discussed the process of selecting from the large pool of applicants.
"We narrowed it down to 14," he said. "We came back and vetted those 14, narrowing it down to five. I felt good with the five."
Those five were interviewed and the field reduced to just two. Glass will now work with Tallassee City Schools Superintendent Dr. Brock Nolin on making the final selection.
The next scheduled meeting for the board of education is Jan. 16. The recommendation could be presented for approval then.
"I'd like to do a meet and greet with the coach later," Glass added. |
