Forum to feature candidates

Voters in Elmore County Commission District 2 will have an opportunity to meet the candidates and ask questions at a forum on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Kent Community Clubhouse.
The candidates in the Republican race are Jennifer Bennett, Brad Davis and Brent Langley. Incumbent Mack Daugherty is not running for reelection. The primary will be held on March 5.
"All three candidates have been invited to speak," said coordinator Stephanie Cooley. "I truly believe you should never hire or elect someone for a position without interviewing them first. Candidate debates let you do just that.
"Our community of Kent, Red Hill, Eclectic and Tallassee deserve information from our candidates. Everyone is invited."
