SEC Media Days: It's here. The wait is over.

I like the wait though.

We've coined SEC Football Media Days as the unofficial kickoff to the football season. I am glad it's back.

I do like the offseason still.

I hear many folks say they wish it were football season year-round. It seems like a fantasy. All football, all the time.

There is something to be said about the anticipation. This is the best time for some fans. Their team is still perfect. If you're a Vandy fan, this is as good as it gets.

I like the season the way it is. I like the length of it, both high school and college. It wouldn't be as good if we had football all the time.

If you ate filet mignon every day, you'd eventually get tired of it. Yes, it still beats Chef-Boyardee.

Everything has a season. Football has one. And hallelujah! It's almost here.
