Tigers crack top 10 in first poll

The first Alabama Sports Writers Association basketball rankings have been released - and Tallassee is in it.

The Tigers are ranked No. 9 in the first installment of the weekly poll for the 2019-20 season. Woodlawn is the top-ranked team in Class 5A.

Tallassee is off to a 9-1 start for the season. Its lone setback came in double overtime at Auburn 75-74. THS also has a win over the 7A team in another one-point game, 38-37 at Stumberg Gym early in the season.
