Ansley to hold camp

Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator and Tallassee High School alum Derrick Ansley will be hosting a youth football camp this summer in Tallassee.

Derrick Ansley's Driven Athletes Football Camp presented by the Henderson-Ansley Foundation will be on July 8 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at J. E. "Hot" O'Brien Stadium. Registration and check-in will begin at 9. Online registration opened on May 15.

"We finally got our foundation up and runnnig," said Ansley. "We plan on making this thing an annual event depending on how it goes."

The camp is free and will provide campers with t-shirts, lunch, hydration, performance training and gift bags.
