Tallassee's 10U Dixie Youth Baseball all-stars run has to come to an end at the state level. The Tigers won the District 5 title in Montgomery and went 2-2 in Troy forduring the state tourney.

District champion and state runner-up, Tallassee's 14-year-old all-stars received an invite to the Babe Ruth Regional in Texas.

Old nemesis South Bibb dealt Tallassee a defeat on day one of the tournament, 9-5. The Tigers bounced back with a 10-0 win over Jacksonville. Thomas Lemmond retired all 11 batters through 3 2/3 innings. Cash Gough got the final out as the two combined for the perfect game.

Lemmond hit a homerun in Tallassee's 17-11 win over Auburn Blue on Saturday. The Tigers played again in the evening and were eliminated by Alexandria 7-6.
