Arrests
Made on Kent Road (1-26-10)
We
all agree Meth is bad for you. We
all agree manufacturing of Meth is
dangerous to the people involved,
but why do we continue to spend money
and resources on fighting a war that
will never be won? If people want
to do "illicit drugs", they
will. By eradicating 1 Meth lab, 1
marijuana grow operation, 1 corner
drug dealer, 10 more pop up and no
matter what the penalties are, demand
drives supply and prices up. Cigarettes
kill 400,000 people in America alone
and Alcohol 200,000 World wide, but
they remain legal for any adult to
use if they want. We do not punish
someone for using these deadly drugs
(Alcohol and Tobacco), but we do punish
them when they perform a crime under
the influence. Our prisons are over-crowding
with non violent drug offenders! We
continue to spend billions a year
and valuable resources going after
and prosecuting non violent people,
whose only crime is taking or being
in possession of a substances deemed
illegal by our government. I don't
know the people in this article, don't
know their criminal history..etc..but
I know that this arrest cost lots
of money to the tax payers, and could
have caused otherwise law abiding
citizens to have a criminal record.
In a free Country, you should be able
to consume whatever you want to as
long as the act of you taking that
substance doesn't take away from others
civil liberties or harm someone else.
We need to legalize and tax these
"illicit drugs", just as
we do the more harmful Tobacco and
Alcohol, use the money for the health
care system, paying school teachers
more money and putting it to use in
our failing economy - Adam Robinson

Mr.
Robinson,
Where
have you been? Undoubtedly in another
world. Legalize all illegal drugs,
You surely must be kidding. Pot I
can understand but certainly not crystal
meth. To say that alcohol and cigarettes
are more harmful than these drugs
is crazy. I do not know you but the
only reaction I can have is to think
like the ad says. Here is your brain
on drugs. You need to seek help, please
offer your complete name and location
and I will try and get it for you.
Thank God we do live in America where
the criminals in this case were arrested.
Making dangerous drugs to sell to
our school children or maybe just
for themselves where they can get
high and get in a car and kill someone.
As you stated it should be ok as long
as it affects no others rights is
also crazy. I guess meth lab could
blow up and kill bystanders and that
would be ok, by your logic. Although
anyone can speak with common sense,
a mind on Meth has no intelligence
at all - Curt Haywood
________
Arrests
Made on Kent Road (1-26-10)
Mr.
Haywood,
As
i said.. Yes..Legalize all "illicit
drugs". Doing so would not only
drive the use of these drugs down(example:
Amsterdam), it would also lower prices,
and get rid of the violence and criminality
associated with the drug culture,
not to mention the 16 or so billion
in taxes that could be raised. Also,
kids are getting these drugs already..anyone
still in school will tell you its
easier to get illegal drugs, that
to buy alcohol and that is ONLY due
to prohibition. Drug dealers don't
ask for ID. And you must be kidding
yourself if you think that Alcohol
and Cigarettes are not more addictive
and deadly than MOST illegal drugs..
you can find those statistics anywhere..
Cigarettes alone kill more people
than car accidents,murder,suicide,legal
drugs and illegal drugs COMBINED!
And lastly.. I started out by saying
that meth was bad and the manufacturing
of meth dangerous, but outside of
hurting someone else or taking away
someone else's civil liberties, there
should be no criminality attached
to a free person ingesting whatever
they want to. My Haywood, you made
the point " Making dangerous
drugs to sell to our school children
or maybe just for themselves where
they can get high and get in a car
and kill someone". Sir, we sell
Alcohol( a dangerous drug) to adults
everyday, not knowing whether they
are going to go home and drink or
go to a bar and drink,or "get
in a car and kill someone". We
have a big problem in this country
where we think we can put a legal
or illegal stamp on a moral issue.
It didn't work during Alcohol prohibition
and it dang sure hasn't worked since
then -

In
reference to Curt Haywoods opinion,
I think he is right 100 percent. Three
of the women worked at the Huddle
House. They were so nice and friendly
that you would never know what they
were doing behind closed doors at
home. I am glad they were caught and
put in jail, so noboby would lose
their life because of them. All of
them are right where they should be

In
reference to Harriet McNelley, your
logic is terribly skewed. Have you
ever heard of Magna Carta? This was
signed specifically to keep the King
out of your house and what you do
in your house. If you knew these people,
they were always nice, then why would
you or anyone care what they do in
the privacy of their own home? And
your statement that your glad they
were caught and put in jail because
they might hurt someone is very ignorant.
Hey, lets make alcohol illegal because
according to ABI statistics, 70+%
of violent crimes occur when people
are under the influence of Alcohol.
Or what if we outlawed guns and knives
because all the harm they help cause..While
were playing God, lets just outlaw
everything that might hurt someone

I
agree that crystal meth is a bad drug
and is against the law. Yes we need
to get it off our streets and yes
it can be harmful to others. But i
also agree lets get alcohol and cigarettes
off the shelfs that are killing people
daily. Also the bond stipulations
on this kind of offense is radical
when opposed to a sick chid molester
in Eclectic whose bond was set at
60 000. What if this sick person gets
out and strikes again that childs
life is devastated the rest of its
life. these drug dealers give people
a choice to say no a little child
cant defend her or his self against
a sick person like this. They should
be locked up and stay there until
they are proven innocent if that is
the case - Anthony Gioiosa

Did
you see the child molestors face.
Do you think he drinks and does drugs.
I do. When someone that has hurt an
innonce child, they should not get
bail. But they do. If they are fined
who gets the money, the court system
not the child. That is the way the
system is, if you are abused and it
goes to court you do not get the money
for being hurt, the system does -

Harriet
McNelley, haha im glad instead of
making a sensible argument about your
side, you resort to insulting me.
I have wonderful 6 year old twins,
boy and girl, and they are the coolest
kids and I love them to death. My
brother just celebrated 6 months being
sober, from Meth. I myself choose
not to partake in any mind or action
altering substances. Meth has hurt
my brother for the past 5 years. My
mother has had to endure the pain
and heartache that meth addiction
causes, getting her son out of jail,
being lied too, late night calls of
possible overdoses..But he is an adult.
He should have the freedom to make
the right or wrong choices in life
and deal with the consequences caused
by those choices and he agrees with
me. Benjamin Franklin said one time
that those who trade their liberties
for security, deserve neither! When
will we stop looking to the almighty
government for protection? And Frankly,
Im more worried about drunk drivers
hurting my kids than some meth Lab
exploding (but it should be made in
factories, not houses). Drug use and
abuse is a public health issue, it
shouldn't be a criminal issue. And
for those who have asked, I am a Tallassee
resident :).. now smile, God Loves
you -

Theft
in Tallassee (1-26-10)
Just
want to give everyone in Tallassee
a warning! My Pathfinder was broken
into Wednesday afternoon, January
13th around 3:45pm while I was working
out at the REC Center in broad daylight.
They shattered my passenger side window
and took my purse. No one saw anything
but I immediately called my Bank to
cancel all my cards. The Bank called
me after my Police report was filed
and the suspects had been to Wal-mart
and Dollar General & purchased
over $750 worth of stuff. They purchased
6 Blue Ray DVD players. I ran into
Wal-mart when I got the call and the
girl at the registered lied about
checking them out, someone saw suspicous
activity in the parking lot so I ran
out and approached them, they of course
said they did not know anything about
it! They were two well dressed Black
Females, one about 5'10" to 6"
tall wearing a grey pea coat and a
red baseball cap, the other was a
dark skinned female with shoulder
length natural hair about 5'4"
to 5'6" wearing a white sweatsuit
outfit with a royal blue shirt under
the zip up jacket. A tall skinny black
male was driving wearing a dark (leather)
jacket. He lookd mid 40's early 50's.
They women looked in their 30's. They
were driving a brand new white Chevy
Impala. They also purchased gas at
5 points! If you see any vehicle in
the area fitting this description
please get their tag number. They
are good at what they do! DO NOT LEAVE
YOUR PURSE VISIBLE IN YOUR VEHICLE!

There
are about seven empty buildings downtown
and I'm pretty sure anyone who wants
to open up a business could negotiate
a rental price with the owners. We
could sure use some more businesses,
and if a person doesn't want to or
can't afford to quit a full time job,
maybe he or she could consider a business
that is open Thursday night through
Sunday afternoon. Those are the busiest
times downtown. If we can get the
street opened back up, that would
be great. When will it open up? Does
anyone know?
There is stiumlus money out there;
Senator Shelby just gave his hometown

I think having a new stadium and first

People looking to move to Tallassee
look at the school system as well
as the facilities. Having first class
facilities leaves a lasting affect
on people. Compare what we have now
to Prattville, Auburn, etc. Even more
visitors from other teams will travel
to see ballgames when there are nice
facilities, and hey more people from
Tallassee will show up if there were
more room to sit. That means more

Clean Up (1-19-10)
You do not have to mention my name
because this is not meant to bring
any type of praise or attention to
me but I want to mention something
about the Mizzoula play Saturday night.
The play was very good and everyone
enjoyed it but what happened afterwards
was very disappointing to me. When
the play ended and all the actors
were instructed where to put their
costumes, the instructors from Mizzoula
asked any able bodies men to help
take down the set. The set is only
fabric sheets with scenes painted
on them and they have metal poles
at the top and bottom holding them
up. I go up on stage and one other
gentleman came up to help….YES
I SAID ONE OTHER GENTLEMAN!!!!! There
was an auditorium full of young men
that could have helped and they were
SORRY!!! If there is one thing I cannot
stand in this world it is sorry people.
The 2 men that helped had to stand
in the rain, for an extended period
of time, to help the ladies from Mizzoula
secure everything down. What happened
that night is typical of what is going
on in this country right now. People
want to get something out of someone
else but when they are called upon
to help or give something back they
just do not have the time -

________
Chivarly
Takes a Back Seat (1-12-10)
I understand Miles attitude at being
told to stand. It is not the fact
that a woman needed a seat that caused
the problem, but that the driver demanded
from Miles what was not the driver's
to give. Miles is not the type of
man to allow a woman to be abused
or to suffer any indignity. He has
always been a gentleman, of the first
order, when given a chance to be.
The problem, in my estimation, is
the driver dictating who should give
up their seat and not asking for a
volunteer. I am very much like Miles,
in the fact that I will give you the
shirt off of my back if I think you
really need it, but you will have
a fight on your hands if you try to
take what is mine without my consent.
We live in a confusing age when many
woman demand to be treated as an equal
when it is to their advantage and
to play the poor delicate flower when
that too benefits them. You cannot
have it both ways. When I served in
the military I worked with many women.
A majority of those that I served
with always wanted to work in the
office and do only the light, easy,
clean work. They wanted regular hours,
in an air conditioned office with
a scheduled lunch and quitting time.
When it came time to load 50 .lbs
20 MM ammo cans onto 5 ton trucks,
load 500 lbs bombs on to aircraft,
or track down an electrical problem
in an F/A-18 wiring harness buried
deep inside the airframe, they were
nowhere to be found. Those same women,
though, always cried foul when the
men who came in early, did all of
the worst assignments, never complained,
always knew their jobs inside and
out, stayed late and then showed back
up the next day ready to do it again
were put in for a promotion or an
award. Equality is a double-edge sword
that cuts both ways. You reap equal
benefits from equal opportunities,
but you also endure equal hardships
along the way.
This sense of entitlement, because
you are a woman, applies only to your
husband, father, son or brother. They
should treat you like a lady worthy
of respect, whether you are or not.
I dearly love my mother, grandmothers,
sisters, daughters and my wife and
will suffer anything for them, at
any time, but that is where it stops.
If I choose to hold a door, volunteer
my seat, allow others to go first,
or maintain socially approved language
in a person's presence it will be
because I have made that choice freely,
regardless of whether it is for a
man, woman, boy or girl. Respect and
honor are given. They cannot be taken
or assumed - John LeGrand, Warrant

Well said Mr. LeGrand. You, sir, have
my respect and I thank you for your
years of service.
This
whole story is too ironic. In the
culturally diverse city of Los Angeles,
where men dress like women and women
dress like men, and a time where there
are more women in the work force than
men, same sex marriages are being
legalized and we have our first black
President, an immigrant of Indian
heritage tells Miles, a white male
and fine Methodist from the South,
to give up his seat on a bus to a
black woman from Selma, Al., the epicenter
of the civil rights movement. TOO
FUNNY!!!!!!!!! You just can’t
make stuff like that up. Kudos to
Miles for making a stand. If Miles
was in line and there was only room
for one more on the bus, should Miles
be expected to give up his seat to
some woman after he paid $65 to have
a seat? Hell No! The shuttle company
shouldn’t have overbooked. Miles
is the victim here. And to top it
all off Butler claims to be chivalrous
by giving up his seat when in fact
his motives are totally self-serving.
He is scheming on cashing in on political
advertising dollars for WTLS from
the Alabama Democratic Convention,
which is one of the nation oldest
and most powerful black organizations,
because he realizes this woman is
the wife of a well known politician
and he figures he can sell some advertising
slots the next election.. Michael’s
actions may very well have set equal
rights and the entire civil rights
movement back 25 years.

12 National Championships? . The Real
Story
I
just wanted to clear up a few misconceptions
about Alabama's claim to 12 national
championships based on fact rather
than bias. Credit is given where credit
is due.
To clear up confusion, the word retroactive
means they went back in time to award
the championship.
'TWELVE' national championships is
fraudulent, nothing but pure bunk
ginned up by the SID Department. Here's
a rundown:
1925
National Championship- Alabama claims
they share this one with Dartmouth.
Who awarded the NC? Houlgate and Helms.
Houlgate started his system in 1927.
So Bama won their 1925 NC using a
formula that didn't exist until 1927?
Helms Athletic Foundation started
in 1941. Another incredible retroactive
NC.
The Associated Press Poll has been
active since 1936. The AP took their
final poll prior to bowl games from
1936 - 1964 and in 1966 and 1967.
They took their final poll after the
bowl games in 1965 and from 1968 -
Current.
1926
National Championship- Alabama claims
they share this one with 3 other teams
with equal or better records! Once
again it is the Helms Athletic Foundation
in 1941 that awards it!
1930
National Championship- The Davis poll
says that Bama tied Notre Dame for
NC this year. This was the only one
to award it to Bama. Notre Dame was
named NC in 6 polls! Parke Davis is
another retroactive system! He (an
individual, not an organization) did
his in 1933!
1934
National Championship- Alabama says
they share this with two other teams.
The awarders are Dunkel, Williamson,
and Football Thesaurus. Dunkel was
an individual who came up with his
own system. Williamson was a geologist
who came up with his own system. Football
Thesaurus first appeared in 1946!
1941
National Championship- This is a complete
joke. The AP ranked Alabama 20th in
the nation with 14 teams with better
records in the top 20. Once again
it is the Football Thesaurus that
retroactively awards it. Alabama finished
3rd in the SEC that year. Mississippi
State won the SEC title..yet Bama
claims a National title!
1961
National Championship- Finally a legitimate
NC. .
1964
National Championship- While the AP
did award the NC to Bama (10-1-0),
Arkansas had the better record, 11-0.
Alabama played Texas in their bowl
and LOST. The AP final poll was before
the bowl.
1965
National Championship- The AP gave
this to Bama. That year there were
three teams with better records than
Bama. Bama 9-1-1, Michigan St 10-1-0,
Arkansas 10-1-0, Nebraska 10-1-0.
1973
National Championship- AP puts Bama
4th after their bowl game loss. Bama
claims a NC from the UPI poll that
was taken before they met Notre Dame
in the bowl game and lost. There were
3 teams with better records than Bama
that year. The embarrassment of naming
Alabama number one caused the UPI
to name champions after bowl games.
Yet Bammer has no shame in claiming
it of course.
1978
National Championship- AP gives this
to Alabama(11-1-0) even though USC
(12-1-0) had the better record Guess
who Alabama lost to that year? USC!!!!!!!!!.
UPI gave the NC to USC.
1979
National Championship- Their second
legitimate NC. Their first Unanimous
NC.
1992
National Championship- Their third
legitimate NC. Their second Unanimous
NC.
You
can see why people ridicule Bama fans
when they talk about 12 NCs. The early
ones were awarded by individuals years
after the games were played. These
weren't consensus polls but NCs awarded
by people that had their own formula
for determining champions. Some NCs
were given before bowl games that
Bama lost. Using Alabama logic, Auburn
could claim four national championships.
But when Bammers brag they like to
say they have twelve and Auburn has
one. How silly. The NCAA recognizes
6 NCs for Bama and there are only
two NCs that Bama has unanimously.
You can't find an Auburn site claiming
four national championships but there
are plenty Bama sites claiming twelve.

freedom of choice to the extent that
the the local government prohibits
private business owners from excercising
their freedom of choice (all in the
interest of public health and safety),why
not pass some meaningful local legislation
that actually protects us from drivers
that could much more quickly kill
us than passive second hand smoke
ever could.Are "cigarette police
cheaper than cell phone police or
shrubbery police"? In the spirit
of doing your constitutional job ,how
about excercising some meaningful
authority that will actually protect
the citizens of Tallassee ? It seems
that the elected leaders of this town
have forgotten the folks that voted
for them, and disregard the will of
their constituents.The prevailing
winds seem to reek of the aroma of
"let's make Tallassee just like
Montgomery".Progress is fine
and should be expected , but to make
the citizens of Tallassee walk lockstep
with the council on making this beautiful
town just like it's neighbor to the
southwest is as much a doom as doing
nothing. All I would ask of this city
council this year is that they listen
to the will of the people they serve
and not put themselves in the position
of assuming that they know better
what's good for the people than the
the people themselves - Derrick

Square (1-12-10)
Mr
Hartley. You make some good points,
but you say the council should listen
to their constituents, my question
to you, how do you know anyone has
even called a member of the City Council.
Have you called you Councilman, or
have you ever gone to a Council meeting
and voiced your opinion. If you have,
great. If you haven't, maybe don't
be so fast to point a finger. That's
the great thing about Democracy -
Leroy Jiles
________
Council
Square (1-12-10)
I
also see our new (1 year in office)
Mayor and council not doing much but
putting restrictions on its citizens
in the form of more ordinances. Why
is it that they pass these laws and
yet don' t even abide by what's on
the books themselves? Examples would
be: Smoking ordinance passed on all
eateries and came into effect this
month. There was already a smoking
ordinance banning smoking on city
property for over 10 years. Well,
as of today 01-13-2010 City employee
was smoking in city truck. Can no
longer go into city maintenance area
because it is posted but as I looked
on from beside CVS, I see employees
smoking on city shop grounds. We are
now constantly having water problems
and depending on whom you ask about
it, different people get blamed. Power
Co. blamed because water is to low.
Power Co. states water has been this
low before during drought with no
mentioned problems. It could be maintenance
as I look tonight and see no lights
working on any water tank. (As required
by FAA) Hope a plane does not hit
one but as we all know that nothing
ever gets fixed until something happens.
Now let's look at other laws that
do not apply to city.
First
let's ride by police station and see
employees cars parked on sidewalk.
No handicap person can even get around
them. Although it's against the law
it must not apply to city. We also
notice that the handicap parking space
has been painted over to allow the
chief and other law enforcement officers
parking for their personal vehicles.
I read where the police want computers
in their cars and that these can be
paid for with increase in tickets.
Why not give tickets now to help the
budget? Tickets for people turning
right off of Barnett onto Gilmer (This
is a red light to at least yield).
No tickets are issued because the
police are some of the worse offenders.
How about ticketing all of the utility
trailers that have no tags on them.
They can’t do that
either because none of the city trailers
have tags that I have seen. Some vehicles
are also to only be driven by employees
with CDL. This is another law this
city now violates. What shall happen
if such employee is involved in an
accident? I guess the city will state
that he did not have permission to
drive it.
Why does the Mayor need a secretary?
Are not the City Clerk and all the
other people at city hall enough?
I guess not as you see the mayor and
his personal employee all over town,
even on weekends. The city now has
more employees than when Bobby was
here and yet get less done. Why does
the city now cut grass on at least
3 private properties? One is right
by the bridge and is the Carr property.
It's no wonder the land owners that
have rental property are so upset
with this administration. Â
They can never get a straight answer
on anything. They have changed zones
and removed utilities from many areas
without ever notifying the owners.
I
honestly thought that a change of
leadership was needed but now as I
look back maybe things were much better
than they appeared - Jerry

Chamber
Banquet (1-12-10)
Are
the citizens of Tallassee aware that
the chamber banquet was held in Macon
Co. Did you also know that the City
Council held their Christmas party
in Macon Co. These are the people
who yell the loudest to "Shop
Tallassee First" - Tallassee
Tax Payer
________
Chamber
Banquet (1-12-10)
The
Chamber of Commerce is actually the
“Greater Tallassee Area Chamber
of Commerce”. The facility at
Victoryland/Quincy’s 777 most
definitely falls within that area.
In fact , Mary Woods, an employee
there, is a member of the Chamber
and came to the rescue in organizing
the event at that location on very
short notice. The event was scheduled
at the Hotel and other arrangements
had to be made quickly after that
tragedy. Unfortunately, there is nowhere
in our city capable of hosting an
event of 200 plus people. Last year
the event was held at Kowaliga, which
is twice the distance from Tallassee,
and there was not enough seats available.
As Tallassee attempts to grow and
tries to expand its city limits down
the 229 corridor to the Tallassee
exit, which is in Macon County, it
only makes sense to build good relationships
with the people in that area. Furthermore,
there are many of our residents who
are employed there that live in and
shop in Tallassee first. I attended
the Banquet and the food and venue
were far superior to any previous
chamber Banquet. The Tallassee Taxpayer’s
comments seem more narrow-mindedly
prejudicial against Macon County and
lacks understanding of the purpose
that the Greater Tallassee Area Chamber
of Commerce serves. Kudos to Mary
Woods for job well done at a first
class facility.
P.S.-
A special congratulations to award
winners Vickie, JaHazel, and Ronald.
I can’t think of 3 more special,
deserving Tallasseans - Mike Segrest
________
Chamber
Banquet (1-12-10)
Mr.
Segrest,
As
I read your reply to Tallassee taxpayer
the first word that comes to mind
is idiot. I fail to see where they
were prejudicial against Macon County.
They only stated a fact and like getting
caught with your hand in the cookie
jar you attacked. Even in writing,
your statement carries undertones
of some kind of guilt or just frustration
that the statement was made. With
all the property that we as citizens
own known as a municipality there
was no place to eat. How about Tallassee
Schools? Methodist Church used it
for wild game supper. How about our
National Guard Armory? I guess you
could not find anyone to cater it.
Did anyone try? I feel sure that at
least one Tallassee business would
love to make that money. Mrs. Noels,
Buddy of ET’s, Ruth’s
Kitchen and surely there are more
caterers here. You know Friendship
Fire dept held steak dinners at the
Armory many times. The “Greater
Tallassee Area Chamber of Commerce”
means Tallassee not Shorter. No tax
revenue comes from shorter and with
all the legality of Bingo gambling
why offer it praise? The truth is
that Victory land actually hurts us.
Many people from our city that can’t
afford food play machines at Victory
land with false hopes of striking
it rich. As for the growth of Tallassee,
why do we want to annex to the Tallassee
exit? Yes it would be Macon county
and then Tallassee would be a city
in 3 counties, all separated by a
river. One of our big problems with
schools, revenue and taxes accessed
to our city are already our location
in two counties. I hope that your
law school training will help you
in later life distinguish between
what is good for Tallassee and what
is not. Another concerned tax payer

________
Chamber
Banquet (1-12-10)
Mr.
Davis,
For
you to call Mr. Segrest an idiot and
make the points you do without doing
your own homework shows your own ignorance.
You are a "basher." You
want to bellyache about everything
without ever doing anything yourself.
You
cited alternative places and caterers
to handle the Chamber Banquet. You
mentioned Mrs. Noel's. Where have
you been? She has been out of the
restaurant and catering business for
six months. As for the National Guard
Armory, when is the last time they
hosted one of these functions? Since
9/11, the only events there have been
military related. The Tallassee Elementary
School is used for athletic club gatherings.
It is what it is; an elementary school
cafeteria. It might be feasible for
seven and eight year olds, but it's
not suitable for adults. You
mention Ruth's Kitchen, which is in
Reeltown, yet you use the excuse of
not going to Shorter because it's
not "Tallassee."
Without
shooting down every suggestion you
make, let's just put the hay down
where the goats can get it. You stated
your real reasons for not wanting
the banquet in Macon County. You have
a problem with Victoryland (one word
not two). Isn't that the truth Mr.
Davis? Next time, don't hem and haw
around with suggestions of no worth
and just make your one point.
As
for Tallassee being in three counties,
you note that being in two is the
downfall of our school system and
reason for lacking tax revenues. Are
you serious? What do you suggest,
that we dump the students who live
on the Tallapoosa side?
If
you want dollars in Tallassee, the
corridor from Highway 229 into Macon
County to the interstate is our best
chance of retail development in the
near future. Who knows, with potential
restaurants opening there, maybe we'll
have real options of where to host
get-togethers (like the Chamber Banquet)
in years to come - Tom Robertson

Mr.
Davis. When reading your response,
2 words come to me: "narrow minded".
Greater Tallassee means Tallassee

wrong with Mr. Segrest's explanation.
What's wrong with branching out. Geeze.

If
we are trying to keep money in Tallassee
why did we go to Shorter? This is
crazy. We need all the money we can

was no where in Tallasse...you got

have set tables at the city, and could
have had food catered...C'Mon Tallassee
