Item 1: After considering four different companies, the City Council members awarded the bid to the company LawnWorks Landscaping for lawn maintenance at the City’s venue rental properties. LawnWorks Landscaping submitted the lowest bid.

Item 2: The City Council approved expenditure for storm drainage repair on Barnett Boulevard.

Item 3: Council Member Darrell Wilson updated new Council members on information regarding location for new swimming pool at softball complex in East Tallassee.

Item 4: The City Council approved a severance agreement for Police Chief Jimmy Rodgers upon his submission to the City of his notice of resignation as an employee of the City.

Item 5: Mayor’s Reports

*Mayor Hammock reported that Tallassee City Schools will donate the Tallassee High school baseball field’s bleachers to the City of Tallassee.

Item 6: Council Reports

*Councilman Godwin proposed an increase in pay for the Superintendent of Utilities from $1600 to $2000. The increase of pay is equal to the raise City employees received in the previous years.
*Councilman Stough reported there will be a Christmas Breakfast for all Tallassee City employees December 09. Guardian Credit Union will sponsor the breakfast.
*Councilman Taunton called a Cemetery Committee meeting to address concerns of City workers working late at the City cemetery during their holiday vacation days.
*Councilman Wilson reminded the City employees of how important it is to continue following the correct purchase order process.

Regular City Council Meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month beginning at 6 p.m. at City Hall and the public is welcome to attend.
