WTLS reups with CTSN

By Michael Butler

University of Alabama sports broadcasts will continue to be heard in the Tallassee area on WTLS 1300 AM and 106.5 FM. The station is extending its contract with the Crimson Tide Sports Network until 2020.

WTLS carries all Bama football and basketball games, plus SEC baseball games. It also airs select softball and women's basketball games.

"We're excited to continue our relationship with CTSN and the Crimson Tide championship brand," WTLS owner Michael Butler said. "We've had many title moments that our listeners and sponsors have enjoyed in recent years."

In addition to game broadcasts, CTSN produces the "Nick Saban Show." The show returns on Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The "Crimson Tide Today," a daily feature on Alabama athletics, runs weekdays at 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. throughout the sports year.

"Crimson Tide Rewind" will be on the radio on Monday nights at 6:00. Host Chris Stewart will recap games from the gridiron all football season.

The defending champion Alabama football team will kick off the season vs. USC on Saturday, Sept. 3. Pregame on the network begins at 4:00 p.m. Eli Gold and Phil Savage return to handle the play-by-play duties.
