Warehouse 51 open for events

Tallassee has a new venue for hosting events. Warehouse 51 is a 5,000 square foot rental space located at 1851 Indian Trail.

The site is available for showers, weddings, receptions, proms, parties and various other get togethers.

"It's wide open space, so we can accommodate over 400 people in the facility at one time," said owner Claire Scroggins. "The appealing is that it's one open space, so you can have everybody in one room to mingle. There is also a stage for deejays and bands with lights."

The building is located next to Scroggins' Pointed Toe dance studio.

Kami Scarborough of New Stone Realty is managing the property's events.

"Courtney Betts is our event coordinator," said Scarborough. "She'll come out and a give you a personal tour.

Warehouse 51 held an open house on Dec. 9 to showcase the venue.

"It's hard to imagine how nice it is," Scarborough added. "Claire is a great decorator."

Tables, chairs and decor are available with the venue rental or off-site events.

Seating options include; metal chairs, stylish fruitwood folding chairs or elegant Chiavari chairs.

"We opened Warehouse 51 because we saw a need for our community to have a nice, large, open venue where people could be together in one common space," Scroggins said.
