Rygiel announces candidacy for reelection

Robert Rygiel is employed at Neptune Technology Group in Tallassee as a Model Maker and is married to Laurie Rygiel, whom is the owner of HR Management Solutions, LLC located in Tallassee. Robert served in the Navy at the time of Desert Storm.

They are the proud parents of Andrea, who graduated from Tallassee High in 2007 and received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Auburn University of Montgomery and is now working at Tallassee Elementary and attending AUM for her Master’s in Education. Their son Robi, who graduated from Tallassee High in 2014, is attending Faulkner University where he plays football for the Faulkner Eagles.

Robert and Laurie have dedicated themselves to serving Tallassee and are committed to doing their part to assist the city to progress while maintaining the strong family values that make Tallassee unique. Robert and his family have been long time members of First Baptist. They have supported Tallassee over the past 22 years.

Robert is an active member of the community where he has coached for over 20 years. He has been a long time member of the Tallassee Athletic Club where he helps with the concession, fundraising for all sports.  He is the past treasurer of the Dixie Youth Softball. He has worked with the Tallassee Community Development Corporation helping with the Tallassee Now where he is over the successful BBQ COOK-OFF.

He serves on the Planning Commission where he has worked very hard to bring new businesses to Tallassee and to increase the business friendly atmosphere of Tallassee. Robert's role on the Planning Commission has helped to bring new or updated business like the new Walmart, Tallassee Urgent Care, Gameday Clips, T-Fit Gym, Tractor Supply and the National Medical Care kidney dialysis clinic and many more. He continues to work with boards on updating infrastructure and bringing sewer to Tallassee Citizens. He has also worked very hard to improve the recreation in Tallassee.

Robert Rygiel is running for a third term on the Tallassee City Council to continue to serve the citizens of Tallassee and the work he has started to make Tallassee a better place to live. If re-elected he will continue to help Tallassee grow into a place where we can all be proud to call home.
